THE BRAZILIAN FLAG

DINNER WITH OUR PORTUGUESE MISSIONARIES

We had such a wonderful time with our Portuguese Missionaries. They came and brought all the food and cooked it. We had a traditional meal, rice, beef with salsa and drink. It was very good!

SWAMP BUGGY

The swamp buggy can go on land and water. We were able to go just about anywhere.

A PIECE OF CENTRAL FLORIDA

Deseret Ranch is an important part of the community and has been for over 50 years. We were able to visit the Ranch and to go out on the Swamp Buggy on the St. Johns River.

DESERET RANCHES

The word "deseret" means honeybee and stands for industriousness and hard work. The Ranch uses a "beehive" for its cattle brand. Deseret Ranches covers 290,000 acres of land and is owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and is located in the Florida Orlando Mission in Central Florida. Currently Deseret employs about 90 full-time employees, including cowboys, equipment operators, citrus workers, office staff and others.
