The Spanish Missionaries tracted into this woman's apartment and she was baptized. She had become discouraged with her life and had prayed that something would change. That's when the Elders found her. She has three children and by outward appearances she already seems like a Mormon!. She is a very special person.

Our first Christmas Program with the Elders and Sisters. We have two more to go. It finally feels a little like Christmas with 70 degree weather and no snow. We do have Poinsettias lining our walkway outside. Festive! We miss all of you but are too busy to really get homesick. We love the Elders and Sisters and it was a fun evening of singing carols and thinking of Christ and His birth. We hope all of you have a very Merry Christmas and that the blessings of the message of the Savior and his birth will be with you throughout the new year. Love, President and Sister Hall

Homeless Connect
Our missionaries participated in the homeless connect in Orlando. This time it was held in the old Amway Arena (Orlando Magic old basketball arena). Everyone commented on the Mormon Missionaries and what wonderful young men and how they handled themselves. They are assigned to a homeless person and take them to various stations and stay by their side. They feed them, have medical service, hair cuts, showers, etc. They refer to them as shepherds for the homeless people that they take through the process. It is an amazing service for the homeless of Orlando. The line seemed endless.

"Christmas is a glorious time, simple in origin and deep in meaning. It is rich in memories, charitable in spirit, and beautiful in tradition and custom. It has an attraction to which our hearts are readily drawn... At this season of the year, we remember that our Heavenly Father gave us His Son, Jesus Christ. We also remember that His precious Son gave us His life, the Atonement, and victory over the grave.
Therefore, let us give to our Lord and Savior the gift of gratitude by living His teachings and following in His footsteps. During His mortal ministry, He "went about doing good". As we do like wise, the Christmas spirit will fill our hearts."
