The FOM New Sister Training Leaders

Zone Leader Council is now called Mission Leadership Council and will include sisters.  The sister training leaders will be assigned to a certain number of sister missionaries and will be responsible for their training and welfare in addition to participating in the Mission Leadership Council.  Sister missionaries comprised 14 percent of the church's total missionary force.  Since January 1, new mission calls have been extended at a rate of about 1,400 per week, with 36 percent of the calls going to sister missionaries.  The FOM's sister compliment is now 76 sisters.  We will receive 23 sisters and 5 elders in the June transfer.

One of the hardest things we do as a mission president and wife is to say good-bye to the missionaries.  What a great privilege to be involved in this great work, and to see the missionaries develop faith and help their investigators know their Savior personally.

NEW TRAINEES AND TRAINERS

ARRIVALS

We all know the Lord is hastening his work (D&C 88:73).  Elder Nelson gave us this vision.  There are two promises yet to be realized:  1) gathering, 2) prepare for the second coming.  The Lord is blessing the Florida Orlando Mission in so many ways.  First, we are receiving many more missionaries to move this work forward.  Most of them are sisters that will compliment the work as they work in each ward along with the elders of the Florida Orlando Mission.

We received 12 new sisters and 9 new elders this transfer.
