MISSION TOUR WITH ELDER GIBBONS
Having visiting authorities is the highlight of a mission...next to baptising. Elder Larry W. Gibbons of the 2nd Quorum of the Seventy and his wife, Sister Gibbons, visited our mission for 2 days. Every missionary was at one of our two zone conferences and was uplifted in many ways. He taught that we are on the Lord's errand, it is His work, and he asked us to commit to Him. He asked the missionaries which way they faced, are you facing the Lord or the people? or are you facing the people on behalf of the Lord -- representing the Lord to the people and bringing His will to them. It is His work. Missionary work is not hard. Harder you work, the better missionary you become. Give everything, give it your all -- don't hold back. Elder Gibbon said all that has happened to me in my life that is good happened because of my mission. We will be talking about what we learned and how to apply it for months to come. Thank you Elder and Sister Gibbons.
